02. SECURE INTAKE
Before your first session, we’ll provide you with secure intake forms, including informed consent, insurance or payment plan, our HIPPA policy, emergency contact information, etc. Individuals, couples, and families will each complete their own intake assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

what types of issues do you treat & how?

Whitestone Counseling Group will treat a majority of mental health and interpersonal issues primarily utilizing person-centered, evidence-based approaches to therapy.

How long is each session?

A therapy hour is 53 minutes. For family and couples intensives, sessions are scheduled for 3-4 hours.

Do you provide telehealth services?

Whitestone Counseling Group provides telehealth on an as-needed basis. We carry a limited number of telehealth clients per counselor, so telehealth spaces are limited.

How often will we meet?

How often we meet for therapy depends on your emotional and financial needs. Some individual clients are scheduled for weekly sessions, some are on a bi-weekly schedule. Intensives are designed to address issues in a different format, so intensive clients will meet 2-4 times over the course of several months, 3-4 hours per session.

Do you take insurance?

Chris and Kayla White are both providers for BlueCross Blue Shield. Prospective clients with other insurances will be required to pay the private client fee. Intensives are not covered under insurance.

Can I pay out of pocket?

You can certainly pay out of pocket. Chris and Kayla White have a private client fee of $175/hour for individual clients. Because marriage and couple intensives are not covered under insurance, intensives involving both Chris and Kayla are $200/hour.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, therapy is one-hundred percent confidential and covered under HIPPA regulations.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made prior to 24 hours before the scheduled session. If a session is cancelled within 24 hours, clients will be charged a $75 cancellation fee.
